We’ve called Rappahannock County home for the last twenty years and have been in hospitality for just as long.
For 13 years we ran The Foster Harris House (an inn just up the road from The Mint Cottage), published a cookbook, and ran epicurean cycling tours through the breathtaking backroads of this region. After that, we transformed a neglected building on Main Street in Sperryville into the award-winning Three Blacksmiths restaurant. The Mint Cottage began as a vacant building in disrepair and John and Diane complete much of the interior worksmanship and all of the décor themselves, all with guest comfort in mind.
